About the position

Balfour Beatty Construction in Falls Church, VA is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer. The Project Engineer is an entry level position that assists Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer with the planning and daily execution of the construction project. Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitable, adhering to our Safety/Zero Harm culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer with planning and execution of construction projects
• Maintain project schedule aspects as assigned by the Project Manager
• Manage the process of submittal approvals
• Coordinate timely delivery of materials
• Maintain schedules and budgets to ensure quality and profitability
• Promote customer relations
• Promote culture, leadership, and employee development

Requirements

• B.S. Degree (Construction Management or Civil Engineering degrees preferred)
• 1 three month intern co-op with a construction company
• Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)
