About the position

The position is responsible for product line structural, hydraulic, electrical, and/or mechanisms engineering application, direction, input, and expertise. The role works within the new product development process to support assigned tasks including new product development, product enhancements, cost reduction, and product problem resolution. The individual commits to agreed upon engineering project timelines and budgets, providing input and direction for the construction of accurate BOMs, drawings, schematics, and/or systems for assigned projects. Communication between different processes, teams, departments, and management hierarchy is required, as well as executing and reporting the status of assigned tasks to other departments and upper management. Participation in both internal and external customer and supplier meetings is necessary to assure achievement of project goals. The role may also involve undertaking new tasks or projects as determined by current business needs/requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for product line structural, hydraulic, electrical, and/or mechanisms engineering application, direction, input, and expertise.
  • Support new product development, product enhancements, cost reduction, and product problem resolution.
  • Commit to engineering project timelines and budgets.
  • Provide input and direction for the construction of accurate BOMs, drawings, schematics, and/or systems for assigned projects.
  • Communicate between different processes, teams, departments, and management hierarchy as required.
  • Execute and report the status of assigned tasks to other departments and upper management.
  • Participate in internal and external customer and supplier meetings to assure achievement of project goals.
  • Undertake new tasks or projects as determined by current business needs/requirements.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in relevant fields (will consider candidates with 3 years of experience if they have good experience and personality).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of SolidWorks design experience in construction, agriculture, and/or related industry products.
  • Demonstrated understanding of design, engineering documentation, and release of technical documents.
  • Hands-on manufacturing and/or product assembly experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in automotive or farm equipment industries.
  • Experience with hydraulics, electrical schematics, and mobile equipment.
