About the position

The Project Engineer role at a leading aerospace manufacturing company involves providing internal leadership for engineering programs, overseeing the entire lifecycle from proposal through qualification testing. This position requires a strong focus on design, development, analysis, and business considerations such as budget and schedule, while also leading project teams and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage the activities for engineering programs throughout the lifecycle, including proposal, design, analysis, and qualification testing.
• Generate and review technical reports and presentations, including formal documents for customers.
• Perform program planning and budgeting.
• Act as a liaison with customers and suppliers.
• Lead project teams and interface with customers and operations personnel.
• Collaborate with functional departments to ensure all requirements are met, including costs, schedule adherence, safety, product functionality, and customer satisfaction.
• Work in a team environment with other design disciplines, requiring daily interactions with Design, Reliability, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management.
• Utilize strong knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Engineering.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and electromechanical systems, preferably in an aerospace/defense environment or closely related role.
