About the position

CACI is seeking a Project Engineer to support the US Navy team in the research and development of innovative solutions for Operational Logistics (OPLOG). The role involves leveraging engineering expertise in marine, electrical, and shipboard engineering, along with project management skills, to oversee and guide various OPLOG projects from inception to execution.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside government team to manage project portfolio
• Manage multiple operational logistics projects, including technical requirements, cost, and schedule
• Utilize engineering expertise to review project materials and provide feedback and recommendations
• Monitor project progress, funding, and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or related field)
• 5-7 years of experience in engineering, project management, or a related role
• Experience managing engineering projects
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
