About the position

Actalent is seeking Project Engineers to join our dynamic team in Winchester, Virginia. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in collaborating with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure that project activities are coordinated effectively. This position is essential for achieving project goals within the established time frames and budget constraints. The Project Engineer will be responsible for resolving field problems, providing necessary design information, and reviewing and coordinating shop drawings. Additionally, the role involves preparing change order requests, supervising subcontractor performance, and expediting the delivery of materials and equipment. Maintaining comprehensive project documentation and preparing payment applications are also key responsibilities of this position. Quality control is a significant aspect of the Project Engineer's duties, which includes attending job progress meetings and providing technical support for construction planning and execution. The role is primarily office-based, requiring a five-day work week in Winchester, VA, but will also necessitate visits to job sites as needed. The Project Engineer will work closely with a Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure that all project activities align with the overall objectives and standards set forth by Actalent.
