About the position

The Project Engineer at York Telecom Corporation is responsible for providing technical support and leadership for various projects related to audiovisual, videoconference, and digital media systems. This role involves managing all technical aspects of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with safety and ergonomic standards, and maintaining effective communication with clients and team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and leadership for audiovisual, videoconference, and digital media systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and make recommendations to internal parties and customers.
• Communicate complex technical answers and respond to inquiries about technical issues.
• Develop system design drawings including audiovisual system diagrams and architectural diagrams.
• Offer technical support and guidance to team members throughout the project.
• Maintain complete and accurate project documentation and records.
• Coordinate and manage multiple system design projects effectively.
• Ensure successful completion of assignments on time and within budget.
• Participate in industry training as required or directed by the Lead Project Engineer.
• Create test plans for testing solutions installed at customer sites.

Requirements

• Less than high school education required.
• No prior experience necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• AV industry manufacturer certifications desirable.
• InfoComm CTS certification with Advanced CTS-D certification desirable.
