About the position

The position involves providing technical support to project staff under the supervision of the Project Manager. The individual will coordinate various contracts, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with schedules and budgets. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with contractors and team members, as well as the ability to manage documentation and resolve project issues.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates work of various contracts as assigned, tracks documentation and evaluates contract issues such as pay applications, changes, punch-lists and closeout activities.
  • Supports in coordinating and managing the efforts of the contractors/consultants.
  • Assists in the evaluation of progress and quality of contract activities in conformance with approved schedules and budgets.
  • Reviews progress payments.
  • Reviews bid package documents as issued by design consultants for omissions, clarifications required, and for coordination between design disciplines.
  • Assists Project Managers and team members.
  • Expedites resolution of Project problems.
  • Obtains Daily Reports from Inspectors/Contractors.
  • Maintains change management control logs, submittals and RFI logs.
  • Prepares documents, letters, and report meeting minutes as required by Project Manager.
  • Participates in negotiations, preparation of and review all Change Orders.
  • Monitors project close out and client occupancy.
  • Performs work in a safe manner and actively encourage others to comply with safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in construction administration of large multimillion-dollar projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills for client presentations and technical reporting.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple assignments and tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of applicable computer spreadsheet databases and word processing software and hardware.
