About the position

TRC Environmental Corp is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to join their Engineering & Remediation practice in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing technical support for various environmental projects, including soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations, as well as ensuring regulatory compliance. The position is ideal for an enthusiastic individual who is detail-oriented and eager to learn within a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental assessment, investigation, remediation, and compliance related projects in the field and office.
• Perform on-site reconnaissance of project sites, including active rights-of-way and manufacturing facilities.
• Install and sample soil borings, soil vapor probes, and groundwater monitoring wells.
• Schedule and oversee excavation, drilling, and construction subcontractors.
• Utilize electronic records collection methods for field efforts.
• Prepare and review technical reports, graphics, feasibility studies, work plans, design documents, and construction documents.
• Perform data analysis and calculations and assist in database development.
• Support management of medium-to-large, complex tasks to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist during proposal development including preparation of work scopes and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience in environmental assessment and remediation projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Experience with groundwater monitoring and soil sampling techniques.
