About the position

Dogwood Industries is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team, focusing on the design, manufacturing, and delivery of prefabricated products for industrial and DoD customers. The role requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, and solve complex problems. The Project Engineer will be responsible for reviewing technical drawings, conducting material research, and collaborating with production teams to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and comprehend drawings and specifications for prefabricated products.
  • Perform product research and specify materials and components to meet requirements.
  • Conduct material take-offs and develop BOMs and details for procurement.
  • Extract critical information from specifications with attention to detail.
  • Read and understand technical information.
  • Engage professionally with third-party engineers, project teams, and departments.
  • Resolve issues identified by production and quality on the production floor.
  • Maintain continuous production flow by addressing engineering and technical challenges in real-time.
  • Create AutoCAD engineering sets.
  • Utilize Office, SharePoint, and Adobe applications effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • One year of experience as a project engineer in an industrial setting.
  • Experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with editing software such as BlueBeam and/or Adobe.
  • Ability to navigate 3D software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
