About the position

Cameron-Cole is seeking a Project Engineer to support its operations in Florida. This role involves designing, installing, and overseeing environmental remediation systems while ensuring compliance with company guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and experience in environmental projects, particularly in contaminated site restoration and environmental permitting.

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate remediation systems in accordance with state and local requirements.
  • Manage assigned projects, including budget tracking, invoice approval, and team management.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients by providing technical expertise and attending client meetings.
  • Participate in the proposal and budget creation process.
  • Write and prepare reports and presentations, including tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight as well as mentoring and training to junior-level staff.
  • Field oversight of subsurface investigations, pilot tests, and other environmental projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Progressive experience with increased responsibility in environmental consulting.
  • Advanced skills in project management are required.
  • Experience with Petroleum Restoration Program requirements preferred.
  • Completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, Engineer in Training (EIT) exam desired.
  • Registered Professional Engineer Preferred.
  • OSHA HAZWOPR 40-hour certification required.
  • A valid Driver's License required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Petroleum Restoration Program requirements preferred.
  • Completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, Engineer in Training (EIT) exam desired.
