About the position

The Project Engineer role at Lockheed Martin involves working within a diverse operations team to ensure the successful delivery of the Trident Program. The position focuses on meeting cost, performance, and schedule requirements while maintaining key performance indicators. The engineer will collaborate with leadership to provide program status updates and support operations during peak activities, all while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering and operations team to ensure all Trident Program deliverables are completed per cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
• Maintain Program and Functional specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Provide Program status reports and functional performance updates to direct leadership.
• Support operations team members during peak activity, including procurement and material staging.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing Principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations environment with demonstrated performance in meeting program key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Experience in leading cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve targeted program goals.
• Experience with Material Management / P2P Procurement Environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Earned Value Management Experience / CAM Certified.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification.
• Experience leading or working with a union-represented workforce.
• Familiarity with Government Contracts and Program Executions.
• Knowledge of Trident Navigation.
