About the position

The Project Engineer role at ENTRUST Solutions Group involves supporting utility-level electric distribution projects, focusing on the design and execution of overhead and underground electric distribution systems. This position offers remote flexibility while requiring the candidate to be located in the New York or New England area. The role emphasizes collaboration with senior engineers and project managers, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring quality control throughout project execution.

Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual and detailed design of overhead and underground electric distribution systems ranging from 4kV to 69kV.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project managers.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers.
• Lead small to medium projects and interact independently with clients.
• Ensure adherence to the quality control process, including the use of the Quality Review Tracking tool.
• Create detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for distribution systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing and supporting electric distribution projects.
• Experience collaborating with various internal and external engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Ability to guide and/or mentor junior engineers.
• Ability to travel 10-20% locally and domestically as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• EIT or PE License
• Knowledge of Computer Aided Design or GIS Design
