About the position

The Project Engineer will be responsible for creating and updating equipment layouts for two facilities, ensuring that the designs meet operational needs. This role involves drafting work scope documents, preparing budgets, setting project schedules, and evaluating utility capacity and availability. The Project Engineer will collaborate with various trades to complete projects and will conduct both on-site inspections and computer-based design and planning.

Responsibilities

• Create and update equipment layouts for two facilities.
• Draft detailed work scope documents and project budgets.
• Set and manage project schedules.
• Evaluate utility capacity and availability.
• Work with trades such as riggers, electricians, and pipe fitters.
• Conduct on-site inspections and computer-based planning.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of engineering experience in food production, pharmaceuticals, or consumer products.
• At least 3 years of experience in an FDA or USDA-regulated environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate and review options within and across departments.
• Experience with complex project execution and vendor interactions.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial or Mechanical).
