About the position

The position involves undertaking assignments related to the development of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including feasibility studies, permit acquisition, and facility design. The role focuses on delivering capital projects that meet asset needs while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations and contribute to engineering and project reports.
  • Conduct field investigations and develop engineering cost estimates.
  • Prepare design sketches and drawings under the supervision of a managing engineer.
  • Monitor and manage budgets and schedules for medium to small Capital Investment Projects.
  • Deliver assigned Capital Projects in accordance with the Capital Investment Management (CIM) system.
  • Ensure asset owner satisfaction according to the agreed scope of work for each project.
  • Interact with Operations personnel to coordinate project delivery with operational needs.
  • Assist in the development of new business documents and proposals.
  • Prepare portions or entire project reports/designs for the project manager.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, programs, and standards of performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Proficient in Auto-Cad (or similar), Excel, and Word.
  • Understanding of GIS, MS-Schedule, and Lotus Notes.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment kinetics and effluent testing.
  • Familiarity with drinking water treatment techniques and contaminant removal techniques.
  • Ability to write and edit engineering proposals and reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
  • EIT (or ability to pass within 6 months).
  • Understanding of BioWin (by EnviroSim) is a plus.
