About the position

The Project Engineering Coordinator at Global Technical Systems (GTS) is responsible for coordinating engineering projects, ensuring timely maintenance activities, and fulfilling engineering requirements across departments. This role involves overseeing project schedules, managing documentation, and collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and organize engineering projects
  • Handle administrative tasks such as research, analysis, scheduling, and managing correspondence with clients and vendors
  • Review contracts and other documentation
  • Participate in the planning, design, and development of projects, coordinating with different teams
  • Work with project managers and specialists to ensure all aspects of the project are executed properly
  • Ensure work is done according to schedule and budget
  • Assist in system analysis, design, development, and testing activities
  • Provide support in developing, implementing, and testing changes and upgrades
  • Develop and maintain configuration policies and procedures
  • Review and recommend changes to existing configuration processes
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Provide technical support to engineers and team members
  • Investigate and correct technical problems with system integration
  • Participate in quality control tasks such as test reviews
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement those improvements
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders
  • Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for project progression
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development
  • Adjust schedules and targets as project needs change
  • Responsible for performance of all assigned tasks including analysis of product design changes
  • Provide support for change reporting processes
  • Coordinate with systems engineering, supply chain management, and logistics personnel
  • Review engineering change data and ensure adherence to configuration management procedures
  • Perform Configuration Management processes as required
  • Support meetings by developing presentation material and reporting on results
  • Coordinate projects and make detailed plans to accomplish goals
  • Support projects for review and approval of product design and changes
  • Communicate technical information and direct personnel in support of engineering activities
  • Prepare reports for management and evaluate engineering data
  • Plan testing of engineering methods and identify tradeoffs for system acquisition
  • Coordinate with Buyers during request for bid/quote process for materials and services
  • Assist with analyzing bid/quote results
  • Read and understand TDP drawings and generate Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Assess risks, problems, and issues and develop recommended solutions
  • Demonstrate understanding of Life Cycle Support requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Configuration Management
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to DOD Configuration Management
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and utilize planning and time management skills
  • Strong documentation management skills
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
