About the position

The Project Engineering Manager at Worley is responsible for overseeing engineering and design projects, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to regulatory requirements. This role involves directing project execution activities, coordinating cross-discipline teams, and managing project scope, cost, and schedule. The manager will also drive innovative solutions and support the standardization of engineering practices while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the project framework for delivering engineering and design.
  • Direct project execution activities and discipline deliverable creation for large or multiple smaller projects.
  • Accountable for safe and sustainable engineering, quality, cost, and schedule delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Support standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
  • Contribute to understanding legal requirements and customer specifications.
  • Use local/global standards to support technical excellence.
  • Ensure checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
  • Participate in project execution strategy and planning.
  • Drive innovative solutions and technology advances.
  • Own the engineering plan and project scope/cost/time requirements.
  • Support management of project change and staffing requirements.
  • Plan inter-discipline quality and monitor quality activities.
  • Seek input from knowledgeable sources for constructability and operability reviews.
  • Work with site personnel to resolve issues.
  • Create plans or documents supporting construction, testing, commissioning, operations, maintenance, or decommissioning.

Requirements

  • Typically has 15+ years of relevant discipline experience.
  • At least 5+ years relevant experience as a Project Engineering Manager on large to mega sized capital projects.
  • 15+ years in petrochemical and refining project design, execution, and construction.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
