About the position

DLA Piper is seeking a finance Of Counsel to join its Project & Energy Finance group, focusing on financing energy transition and data center projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on internationally recognized matters and novel financing deals within a dynamic and growing team. The position is available in any of the firm's US offices and requires a strong background in project finance or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project & Energy Finance group on financing energy transition and data center projects.
• Draft and negotiate loan and security documentation.
• Coordinate complex closings for financing deals.
• Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and business professionals.
• Produce timely and quality work products while meeting deadlines.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as required.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of employment.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in project finance or related fields.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating loan and security documentation.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
