About the position

DLA Piper is seeking a finance Of Counsel to join its Project & Energy Finance group, focusing on financing energy transition and data center projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on internationally recognized matters and novel financing deals within a dynamic and growing team.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate loan and security documentation.
• Coordinate complex closings for financing deals.
• Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and business professionals.
• Produce deliverables and respond to correspondence efficiently.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
• Meet deadlines and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships within the team.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as needed.

Requirements

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in the jurisdiction of application.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in project finance or related fields.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating loan and security documentation.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Research and problem-solving skills.
