About the position

The Project Fund & Agreements Coordinator position at Seattle Parks and Recreation is responsible for supporting the management and application of grants to enhance the city's parks and recreation facilities. This role involves researching funding sources, preparing grant proposals, tracking application deadlines, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. The coordinator will work closely with various teams to align funding opportunities with departmental priorities and manage a portfolio of active awards.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing comprehensive reports analyzing upcoming funding opportunities and outlining recommendations.
  • Assisting in prioritizing grant applications in collaboration with PCD leadership and staff.
  • Researching and identifying potential sources of project funding.
  • Supporting the production of quality proposals to various funders.
  • Identifying and matching SPR's project needs with available funding sources.
  • Coordinating and conducting data analysis to support grant tracking tools.
  • Assisting projects at different stages with multiple deliverables and deadlines, including contract negotiations and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Two years of professional-level experience in financial analysis, project management, grant administration, or related work.
  • Experience in applying for and securing grant funding.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, particularly using Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with grant software and resource management systems.
  • Familiarity with public financing and funding processes.
