About the position

The Project Industrial Data Engineer at Alstom is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and management of industrial Master Data within various systems, including ERP and SES. This role involves acting as a key user for industrial information systems, conducting tests, managing data migration, and training users. The engineer will also interface with project industrialization teams to manage Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements and ensure data consistency across systems, contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of industrial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Key User for Industrial Information System Tools: ERP, SES.
  • Perform tests before implementation or updates of systems.
  • Ensure data migration and pilot data rework as necessary.
  • Train users on system functionalities and processes.
  • Participate in the Key Users network to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Define and manage the data work plan for projects.
  • Interface with Project Industrialization for BOM requirements.
  • Pilot the implementation of M-BoM, P-BoM, Routings, Work Centers, Tooling, and Purchasing File in the systems.
  • Ensure data consistency across different systems.
  • Manage impacts of engineering and process changes in the systems.
  • Set up effectivity for application of changes in the data.
  • Ensure accuracy of P-BoMs and perform regular audits.
  • Build and maintain up-to-date Industrial ERP data, including Bill of Material and Process routings.
  • Develop maintenance strategies and configuration for service orders based on audits and field experience.

Requirements

  • Technical education in a relevant field.
  • Manufacturing Engineering background with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in railway services.
  • Basic knowledge of Engineering design and Supply Chain processes.
  • Strong experience working with ERP systems (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, and Configuration management.
  • Familiarity with common IS tools.
  • Conscientious and committed to delivering results.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, logical, and organized with good communication skills.
