About the position

The Project Industrial Engineer at Jabil is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated production and service delivery systems. This role focuses on ensuring performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the production site. The Project IE aims to enhance profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles, while managing cross-functional projects across multiple Jabil sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cross-functional teams from multiple sites to identify, develop, test, and implement world-class manufacturing equipment, systems, tools, procedures, and processes.
  • Ensure that current and future processes and manufacturing systems meet and/or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and promote improvement in customer metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a liaison for Operations and Business Units between Jabil sites for program transfers, providing input into transfer plans and timelines, supporting data, technology, process, and procedural requirements, as well as knowledge transfer activities.
  • Provide support and technical assistance to new facility and/or Workcell startups.
  • Mentor and provide technical assistance to Jabil site Industrial Engineering staff.
  • Lead and coordinate the standardization of systems, procedures, and practices across all Jabil workcells.
  • Design optimized human interfaces for various processes including raw material delivery, product flow, WIP management, ergonomic workstation design, and process optimization.
  • Conduct time study analysis and drive yield improvement programs.
  • Support systems such as SAP, MES, and IEDB.

Requirements

  • Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools (e.g., work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research).
  • Strong financial and analytical ability.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments and implementing continuous improvements and cost reduction programs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in work measurement, systems and metrics, ergonomics, capacity sizing, PFMEA, DFA, fixtures and tools, simulation, quoting, and warehousing.
