About the position

The Project Installation Coordinator serves as the primary contact for customers regarding new machine installations. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating tasks among various departments to ensure timely installations. The coordinator is responsible for communication related to machine installations, including technical documentation, scheduling, and customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all machine installation communications and scheduling with sales, field service, and customers.
  • Maintain pertinent data in SAP planning software and technician calendars.
  • Work closely with Regional Service Managers and Sales to prioritize customer requests.
  • Initiate relationships and proactively communicate with customers regarding pre-installation requirements.
  • Discuss VPN, MPSA, utilities, and installation timelines with customers.
  • Coordinate with Sales Administration to ensure all relevant information is received.
  • Confirm customer readiness for equipment installation before dispatching technicians.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to review CAD layouts and direct changes as needed.
  • Coordinate machine shipments and ensure accurate timeframes for installations.
  • Provide formal cost estimates for installations and confirm service details with customers.
  • Conduct follow-ups with customers post-installation to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
  • Maintain machine movement information and CRM contacts in databases.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a technical field and two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in estimating service completion time in a high-volume customer service environment.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of utility requirements for equipment installation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ERP systems and database applications.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and SAP.
