About the position

At STG Design, we are seeking an experienced Project Interior Designer to join our dynamic Interiors studio. This role is ideal for someone who is several years into their career and is looking for a more challenging opportunity to grow as an influential leader in the field of interior design. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing design solutions for a variety of projects and coordinating design through all project phases. This position requires a passion for creating healthy, uplifting environments and a commitment to producing quality documents that meet client expectations. As a Project Interior Designer, you will work collaboratively across teams to develop creative design solutions that align with the client's criteria. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail in the development of design solutions and serve as a resource to Interior Designers and Project Managers throughout the design process. Your role will also involve participating in the development of 2D and 3D graphics, presentations, and other collateral to effectively convey design ideas to clients and project teams. Additionally, you will participate in construction administration to ensure that the built product aligns with the design intent and support the development of strong client relationships as a project team member. Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively across teams to develop creative design solutions that meet the client's criteria.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in the development of design solutions.
  • Serve as a resource to Interior Designers and Project Managers as designs are developed.
  • Participate in the development of 2D and 3D graphics, presentations, and other collateral to convey design ideas to clients and project teams.
  • Participate in construction administration, helping keep the built product aligned with design intent.
  • Support the development of strong client relationships as a project team member.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • 6-10 years of relevant Interior Design experience and Interiors projects.
  • Knowledge of architectural/interior finishes, lighting, color, and materials to carry out design intent.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex design concepts in simple and meaningful ways.
  • Proficient in Revit required.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures.
  • Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancy.
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of parametric modeling (Grasshopper, Dynamo) a plus.
  • Proficient in Rhino and Enscape preferred.
