About the position

TSK Architects is a highly acclaimed architecture, planning, and interior design firm located in California, Texas, and Nevada. We are currently seeking a talented Project Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX. In this role, the Project Interior Designer will collaborate closely with a Project Architect to develop innovative and functional interior designs for various projects. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and are eager to grow within the firm. The Project Interior Designer will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle of interior design projects, ensuring that all aspects of the design process are executed with precision and creativity. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial architectural field, with a strong emphasis on producing design and construction documents, as well as specification deliverables. Experience in public architecture is considered a plus, as it will enhance the designer's ability to cater to diverse client needs. As part of the responsibilities, the Project Interior Designer will assist in quality assurance of interior architecture elements, coordinate with clients and project teams to develop tailored interior design solutions, and prepare presentation materials for schematic and design development phases. The designer will also participate in client presentations, representing TSK and showcasing the firm's commitment to excellence in design. Additionally, the role includes mentoring and leading junior interior designers, fostering a collaborative team environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the project team to produce design, construction documents, and specification deliverables
  • Assist in quality assurance of interior architecture elements on projects
  • Coordinate with clients and project team to develop interior design solutions
  • Prepare schematic and design development phase presentation materials
  • Collaborate in a team environment on a wide range of project types and sizes
  • Participate in client presentations and act as a representative of TSK
  • Coordinate with project team for bidding administration and construction services administration
  • Assist in the development of the BIM on projects
  • Directly responsible for the mentorship and leadership of more junior interior designers (Interior Designer Associates directly report to this level)

Requirements

  • Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, BIM 360, Office 365
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial architectural field
  • Experience taking a project full cycle
  • Working knowledge of interior finish detailing and application
  • Experience with AutoDesk FormIt, preferred
