About the position

The Project Land Surveyor at Volkert Inc. is responsible for supervising and directing survey technical staff in conducting land surveys and preparing deliverables. This senior-level position requires managing survey projects, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and schedule compliance, while also participating in business development activities to expand the client base in Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct survey technical staff in conducting land surveys and preparing deliverables.
• Manage assigned survey projects to ensure quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Participate in marketing and business development activities to build the client base in Oklahoma.
• Assist in leading and developing the Oklahoma survey department.
• Coordinate and manage outside survey subcontractors.
• Implement QA/QC practices for final survey deliverables.
• Develop fees and write and review proposals.
• Ensure compliance with company safety regulations.
• Communicate regularly with team members and operation managers to keep projects on schedule and meet client expectations.

Requirements

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor
• 5-10 years of Project Management experience
• Desire and ability to obtain licensure in additional states
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Judgment and decision-making skills
• Complex problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
