About the position

The Project Land Surveyor at Volkert Inc. is responsible for supervising and directing survey technical staff in conducting land surveys and preparing deliverables. This role is crucial for ensuring project success in terms of quality, budget, and schedule, while also participating in marketing and business development activities to expand the client base in Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct survey technical staff in conducting land surveys.
• Manage assigned survey projects to ensure quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Participate in marketing and business development activities to build the client base in Oklahoma.
• Assist in leading and developing the Oklahoma survey department.
• Coordinate and manage outside survey subcontractors.
• Implement QA/QC practices for final survey deliverables.
• Develop fees and write/review proposals.
• Ensure compliance with company safety regulations.
• Communicate regularly with team members and operation managers to keep projects on schedule.

Requirements

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor
• 5-10 years of Project Management experience
• Desire and ability to obtain licensure in additional states
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Judgment and decision-making skills
• Complex problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Safety oriented
