About the position

The position involves leading development efforts for USCYBERCOM's Joint Cyber Warfare Architect capabilities and systems. The role requires effective communication with an Agile or Scrum delivery team, prioritizing tasks based on business and mission value, and acting as a liaison between stakeholders. The Scrum Master will manage the Scrum process, ensuring alignment with project goals and facilitating productivity by organizing meetings and removing obstacles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development efforts by communicating the vision to an Agile or Scrum delivery team.
  • Define and prioritize tasks based on business and mission value.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure their needs are represented in the release.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Agile or Scrum team, managing information, work prioritization, and decision-making.
  • Coordinate and monitor the Scrum process from start to finish.
  • Act as an intermediary between the product owner, development team, and management to ensure alignment with objectives and requirements.
  • Ensure the team understands project goals and maintain the product backlog and release plan.
  • Facilitate productivity by organizing meetings and removing obstacles impeding progress toward sprint goals.
  • Maintain flexibility to adapt to changes quickly.
  • Manage the process for efficient information exchange as the team's Scrum Master.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Program Management, Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of total relevant experience, including 5-7 years as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience coaching teams in various Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience leading multiple teams or large scale Scrum implementations.
  • Scrum Certification (e.g. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification).

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working directly with or as a Government Acquisition Professional.
  • Prior experience implementing Agile methodologies and applying an understanding of Scrum practices across multiple projects.
  • Understanding of Agile frameworks, such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Kanban, or other similar Agile Frameworks.
  • Prior experience coaching teams and stakeholders in adopting an Agile mindset, helping them understand core principles such as transparency, inspection, and adaptation.
