About the position

The Project Management Director serves as the subject matter expert for Project Management within MYR Group's T&D organization. This lead position involves overseeing the MYR Project Management Training Program (PMTP), providing support to ongoing projects, and mentoring project managers. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and effective communication across various business units.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and administer the MYR Project Management Training Program (PMTP) including continuing improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on PMTP content and provide expert resources to operating business units.
  • Travel to various MYR Subsidiary offices to train on Primavera P6 Scheduling and E1 Enterprise System.
  • Teach and mentor new hire project managers in the PMTP.
  • Mentor incumbent project managers in leadership, risk management, and project scheduling.
  • Maintain PMTP course material on the MYR Learning Management System.
  • Advise and assist project teams throughout MYR.
  • Assist senior management with special projects and project support as requested.
  • Develop tutorials to support MYR systems and PMTP material.
  • Develop and distribute periodic reports throughout the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a project manager in the T&D Industry.
  • Portfolio of successful, safe, and profitably executed projects of at least $100M in value.
  • Certified Project Management Professional preferred.
  • Expertise in Primavera P6 scheduler and E1 Enterprise system.
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or other Engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant project management experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-directed, motivated, and well organized.
  • Technically proficient with computers and software, including MS Office products.
