About the position

AVL Test Systems, Inc. is seeking a Project Management Intern to support the project management team in a hybrid role. This entry-level internship is designed for candidates who are currently pursuing a relevant degree and offers the opportunity to actively contribute to AVL customer projects while gaining valuable project management skills. The intern will work closely with the Project Manager to assist in various project tasks, documentation, and coordination efforts, ensuring successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, executing and closing project tasks.
  • Help prepare and maintain project documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Onsite/remote support of AVL personnel with inventory management.
  • Help coordinate meetings, including scheduling, report preparation and maintenance, and follow-up on actions.
  • Support project managers to maintain data quality in AVL's project reporting system.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Interface with the Finance Department and support project accounting requirements.
  • Collect data and create internal project reports for the project team and management.
  • Collect standard product and project documentation to support project execution.
  • Support open issue management and closure.
  • Support additional tasks as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Currently in college working towards a Bachelor degree relevant to Engineering, Business, Project Management or related.
  • High School diploma.
  • Desire to learn.
  • Excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with MS office (specifically Excel, Outlook & Microsoft Project).

Nice-to-haves

  • Morning availability preferred.
  • Willingness to start at the entry/beginning phases to learn processes and functions of the department they are assigned to.
