About The Position

The Rolling Stock Project Management Intern position at Siemens Mobility offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in project management within the rail industry. Interns will work on the Amtrak Intercity Trainsets project, learning to lead large-scale projects and coordinate with various departments to enhance rail transportation. This internship is designed for rising juniors or seniors who are eager to develop their technical skills and problem-solving abilities in a supportive and innovative environment.

Requirements

• Current junior undergraduates or seniors pursuing a BA/BS in Engineering or Project Management.
• Strong technical or analytical aptitude.
• Availability for approximately 20 hours per week during the year and 40 hours per week during school breaks.
• Legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
• Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Demonstrated leadership potential.
• Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Industry knowledge and/or interest in rail transportation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in internal and external meetings for the projects.
• Work with Project Managers and Engineers on design improvements and technical documentation.
• Support implementation and supply of materials for design changes.
• Monitor and document Coach production progress.
• Help track and guide materials supply to the production floor.
• Write field modifications and test procedures.
• Create tableau and reports that benefit the project.

Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $24 - $28 per hour based on projected graduation year.
