About the position

The Project Management Office Administrator at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium plays a crucial role in supporting the establishment and maintenance of effective portfolio and project management processes. This position is integral to the PMO leadership team, ensuring the successful implementation of strategies, services, and deliverables while serving as a gatekeeper for project conformity to established processes. The role involves developing and improving project management frameworks, evaluating project performance, and collaborating with department leaders to align projects with the organization's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful implementation of the PMO's strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables.
  • Establish frameworks and standards for project delivery.
  • Manage change resulting from new processes and support the modeling of these processes.
  • Build cohesion within the team and motivate team members to produce quality work.
  • Serve as a gatekeeper ensuring quality control and conformance to process.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects in support of the company's strategic portfolio.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and manage resource allocations across multiple projects and programs.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and recommend mitigation plans for program risks.
  • Develop project reporting standards and metrics to measure project health.
  • Integrate routine project reporting and recommend solutions to improve project delivery.
  • Facilitate PMO reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support cross-team communication and develop workflows to document processes.
  • Provide administrative leadership for budget, contract management, and other PMO needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in project management or related field.
  • Ten (10) years of professional work experience managing major projects or in positions involving planning, design, and implementation of projects.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in finance, data and analytics, information technology in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in healthcare operations.
