About the position

The Project Management Operations Director will serve as the primary operations official for the Project Management Division (PMD) within the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) at the Department of Energy. This role involves directing and managing various operational areas, supporting senior leadership, and ensuring compliance with departmental regulations. The position requires strategic guidance and oversight of program areas to meet organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage operational areas supporting PMD senior leadership.
  • Oversee the preparation of special analyses and responses to requests from OCED leadership.
  • Develop plans, policies, and mission objectives for analytical and administrative support.
  • Provide technical advice and strategic guidance regarding operations evaluation and organizational design.
  • Ensure compliance with Departmental and OCED rules and regulations related to operations.
  • Participate in working groups related to areas of responsibility.

Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14 in the Federal service.
  • Experience in providing oversight to program areas to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Experience in developing and implementing tools to evaluate and summarize operational risks and weaknesses.
  • Experience in preparing communications such as mission statements and special reports.
