About the position

As a Project Management Senior at ENGIE, you will be part of a self-managed team responsible for overseeing utility infrastructure capital projects at the University of Iowa Campus. This role involves managing projects ranging from $100,000 to $50 million, focusing on electric and thermal energy production and distribution, as well as storm and wastewater infrastructure. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and without compromising health, safety, or environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on campus.
  • Administer contracts, including developing project specifications and detailed scopes of work.
  • Collaborate with university stakeholders, ENGIE colleagues, and contractors to execute projects.
  • Partner with Program Manager and Operations and Maintenance leadership to identify potential projects and develop business justifications.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders to provide project updates and oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical field from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in managing construction or maintenance projects.
  • Desire to achieve PMP Certification.
  • Experience in adhering to high safety standards for employees and the public.
  • Expertise in developing work packages for project execution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management tools like Microsoft Office and Procore.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and ensure performance expectations are met.
