About the position

The Project Management Supervisor at Audubon Engineering Operations LLC is responsible for overseeing the performance of project management execution within the Houston office. This role involves guiding a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, and Project Administrators, ensuring adherence to project execution standards, budget and schedule management, quality assurance, and talent development. The supervisor plays a crucial role in achieving both financial and non-financial goals of the organization and reports directly to the Director of Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe workplace for all employees and clients; enforce a 0% tolerance rule.
  • Responsible for recruitment, supervision, management, development, and retention of project personnel.
  • Assign project staff to projects with input from Business Unit Managers.
  • Manage hiring, promotions, terminations, compensation changes, and approval of leave requests and timesheets.
  • Monitor and manage project HVEC targets for execution.
  • Coach, train, develop, and manage performance of staff.
  • Coordinate technical training and development, including mentoring and support.
  • Utilize staff effectively and maintain department budget.
  • Work with the Director of Projects to develop and approve operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure company policies are understood and implemented by project staff.
  • Conduct regular Project Management Meetings for development and training.
  • Review proposals for adherence to company policies and good practices.
  • Audit the health of all projects managed by staff, including regular project status reviews.
  • Participate in monthly management reviews of selected projects.
  • Establish reporting metrics and requirements for projects based on various factors.
  • Review Project Manager Project Dashboards for adherence to Gross Margin targets.
  • Focus on efficient project execution to maximize project success.
  • Report weekly to the Director of Projects.
  • Interact with clients to develop relationships and support activities.
  • Function as a Project Director/Manager on certain projects with a 100% utilization target.
  • May act as Account Manager or Project Director for certain clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience as a Project Manager in the Oil and Gas Industry or related segment preferred.
  • PE License or PMP Certification preferred.
  • Exemplary communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and estimating techniques and programs.
