About the position

PMA is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of high-profile aviation projects at Newark Liberty International Airport. The role involves managing procurement and construction activities while coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure project success. The Project Manager will be responsible for writing RFPs, conducting design reviews, performing cost analysis, negotiating change orders, monitoring schedules, managing risks, overseeing construction work, and preparing reports for senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of high-profile aviation projects at Newark Liberty International Airport.
  • Oversee procurement and construction management activities.
  • Write RFPs and coordinate design reviews.
  • Perform cost analysis and negotiate change orders.
  • Monitor project schedules and report on progress.
  • Manage project risks and oversee construction work.
  • Prepare progress reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Support the client with various project-related duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience required.
  • 5+ years of aviation project experience required.
  • Experience in all levels of the project life cycle, including design review, procurement, proposal development, scheduling, cost controls, risk analysis, and change orders required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience with presenting work products and facilitating work sessions required.
  • Ability to collaborate on project issues and work independently with minimal direction required.

Nice-to-haves

  • PE, PMP, or CCM certification is desirable.
  • PANYNJ experience a plus.
