About the position

The Project Manager 2 for Energy Solutions at CoolSys is responsible for leading and mentoring the EMS project crew, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time. This role involves prioritizing and delegating responsibilities, communicating with tradespeople on job sites, and tracking project schedules. The position requires a strong background in electrical systems, HVAC, and project management to support the successful execution of energy solutions projects across various sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and foster teamwork within the EMS project crew.
  • Monitor project progress and direct the crew toward optimal productivity and workplace safety.
  • Provide support on EMS jobs by programming controllers, installing conduit, running cable, and wiring refrigeration equipment, HVAC, RTUs, and lighting.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget, communicating any schedule or budget changes with the Project Manager.
  • Perform other related duties and projects assigned by account management, including parts and material ordering and procurement.
  • Maintain daily/weekly communication with account managers, facility managers, superintendents, and engineering staff.
  • Travel to projects across the US, arrange travel accommodations, and submit accurate expense reports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, and trade or technical school classes with certification.
  • 5+ years' experience in construction or related industry.
  • Knowledge of high voltage electrical power systems (115V, 208V, 460V, single and 3 phase systems).
  • Knowledge of low voltage control circuits, network architecture, and ethernet.
  • Operational knowledge of EMS boards, modules, and sensors.
  • Ability to read and understand power and control circuit diagrams.
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC, exhaust and ventilation systems, construction and installation.
  • Knowledge of supermarket refrigeration systems, control valves and circuits, variable frequency drives (VFD's), refrigerant pressures and hazards.
  • Skill in computer programs, such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management software.
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP).
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency solutions and technologies.
