About the position

The position at CoolSys involves leading and mentoring the EMS project crew, ensuring efficient project completion through effective communication and delegation of responsibilities. The role requires a strong understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems, as well as the ability to manage project schedules and budgets while fostering teamwork and safety on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor the EMS project crew.
• Prioritize and delegate responsibilities among team members.
• Communicate effectively with tradespeople on job sites.
• Track project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Program controllers and install necessary equipment for EMS jobs.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, communicating any changes to the Project Manager.
• Order and procure parts and materials as needed.
• Maintain daily/weekly communication with account managers and facility managers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, and trade or technical school classes with certification.
• 5+ years of experience in construction or related industry.
• Knowledge of high voltage electrical power systems (115V, 208V, 460V, single and 3 phase systems).
• Knowledge of low voltage control circuits and network architecture.
• Operational knowledge of EMS boards, modules, and sensors.
• Ability to read and understand power and control circuit diagrams.
• Understanding of commercial HVAC, exhaust, and ventilation systems.
• Knowledge of supermarket refrigeration systems and control valves.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to think outside the box and make decisions to maintain project quality.
• Skill in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to navigate a laptop computer for accessing on-site controllers.
