About the position

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager who will be responsible for ensuring effective execution of projects within budget and time constraints while maximizing customer satisfaction and quality assurance. This role involves managing small to medium projects, translating customer needs into detailed proposals, and coordinating procurement and project milestones. The Project Manager will be part of a dynamic team that emphasizes growth and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee, and coordinate various aspects of small to medium projects from award through completion.
• Translate customer needs into detailed proposals and project implementation plans.
• Effectively communicate project requirements to the project team and maintain accurate records of job status and changes.
• Act as the primary service provider to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and services for timely project completion within budget.
• Establish project milestones and analyze costs.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and work.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of project management experience in a technical environment.
• Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills.
• Financial analytical skills including cost control.
• Experience managing client relationships.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience.
• Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation industries.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification or industry-specific certifications.
