About the position

The Environmental Project Manager at AECOM is responsible for managing environmental remediation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves technical oversight, stakeholder engagement, and financial management, while maintaining a strong emphasis on health and safety. The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall management of projects and assists in establishing project-specific objectives.
  • Understands site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for clients.
  • Interacts with existing AECOM clients to discuss projects.
  • Provides technical oversight and quality control.
  • Oversees and ensures all facets of a project are completed in accordance with scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Works with the team to predict resource needs and manage resources effectively.
  • Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in engineering, geology, environmental science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project/task management (or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education).
  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Candidate must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project/task management.
  • Experience working on projects under Part 201 and Part 213.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certified (current).
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
