About the position

The Environmental Project Manager at AECOM will be responsible for managing environmental remediation projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and delivering high-quality results. This hybrid role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. The position involves technical oversight, stakeholder engagement, and financial management of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall management of projects and assists in establishing project-specific objectives.
  • Understands site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for clients.
  • Interacts with existing AECOM clients to discuss projects.
  • Provides technical oversight and quality control.
  • Oversees and ensures all facets of a project are completed in accordance with scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Works with the team to predict resource needs and manage resources effectively.
  • Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in engineering, geology, environmental science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project/task management (or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education).
  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Candidate must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project/task management.
  • Experience working on projects under Part 201 and Part 213.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certified (current).
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
