About the position

The Project Manager for the AI Practice PMO at Hitachi Digital is responsible for driving concurrent project streams and managing program activities within the Go-To-Market (GTM) function. This role focuses on coordinating timelines, capturing dependencies, and reporting progress to facilitate decision-making at an executive level. The position requires a strong execution focus and adherence to best practices in project management methodologies, ensuring that projects follow a consistent methodology and leverage the latest trends in program management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive concurrent project streams and own program activities for the GTM function opportunities.
  • Coordinate timelines and capture dependencies for various projects.
  • Contingency planning and reporting on project progress to executive stakeholders.
  • Work with functional executives across Hitachi Digital and its sister companies to align on strategy and execution.
  • Engage with a diverse team including Solutions Architects, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Developers.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of project/program status and risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Experience managing projects/programs with a solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
  • Previous experience in the digital/high-tech space, ideally with industry experience in energy and/or rail.
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally and engaging with international stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a proactive approach to gathering input from various parties.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with the language and terminology of key partners in energy and rail sectors.
