About the position

The Project Manager for Army Logistics at General Atomics is responsible for overseeing the planning, financial management, and technical performance of the US Army Gray Eagle Performance Based Logistics program. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulations while delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development of project plans and manage resources to ensure project schedule, budget, quality and specification goals are attained.
  • Manage and monitor project schedule, timelines, and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet delivery goals.
  • Coordinate departmental and/or cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks focused on delivering new or upgraded existing products and/or services.
  • Interface with Material Planners and Manufacturing to ensure timely completion of hardware and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and may present results to project management team and/or management.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and other regulations.
  • Identify and assess project issues and develop recommendations for solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Influence and coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract(s).
  • Influence contract acquisitions, negotiations and modifications.
  • May participate in or lead segments of the request for proposal (RFP) process to generate new business.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's in business administration or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in project management.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise and application of project management principles, concepts, and practice as well as program management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.
  • Must be able to develop solutions to problems that require coordination of technologies across program requirements.
  • Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.
  • Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
