About The Position

The Project Manager Associate role at SAIC involves supporting the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) contract for the U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC) G-6. This entry-level position is responsible for leading projects through their life cycle, ensuring they meet objectives within defined scope and schedule constraints, while effectively communicating with stakeholders and managing project documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to research, evaluate, analyze, resolve, and present solutions to problems.
  • Ability to stay abreast of industry developments and engage in ongoing professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain ITIL4 certification within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to obtain CAPM certification within the first 180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through the project life cycle to meet project objectives within scope and schedule constraints.
  • Own communication with project stakeholders regarding project status, milestone dates, performance expectations, strategic issues, and project direction.
  • Work with Program Managers, Sr. Project Managers, and Sponsors to identify stakeholders and appropriate escalation paths.
  • Administer, facilitate, and manage appropriate project processes and documentation, including project change management, planning, scheduling, and risk/issue management.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close out projects to ensure all processes and deliverables are completed and approved according to Project Management policy and standards.
  • Interface with PMO, operations managers, and functional leads to secure project resources.
  • Monitor project progress against the plan and inform the Program Manager and government lead of variances, inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and resource conflicts.
  • Manage project investment approved at investment committees and understand inter-project and operational dependencies.
  • Manage efforts between integrated cross-functional teams related to project completion activities.
  • Provide project updates, briefings, and progress reports as required.
