Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Project Manager for a 6-month plus contract opportunity that is 100% remote-based. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering multiple simultaneous projects on time and within budget, with a strong focus on achieving business outcomes. This role requires effective team management, budgeting, planning, and scheduling to ensure project success. The Project Manager will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion, managing IS application, infrastructure, and security project execution. In this position, the Project Manager will lead project teams, defining project scope, deliverables, resources, timing, and budgeting. They will manage project execution through resource planning, risk and issue management, financial management, implementation planning, and scope management. Establishing overall project schedules, key milestones, and dependencies will be crucial to the role. The Project Manager will direct project tasks to ensure that projects progress on schedule and within budget, while also identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within project teams. Effective communication is key, as the Project Manager will need to communicate project risks, issues, and corrective actions to senior management and other appropriate stakeholders. They will prepare implementation impact analyses and communicate plans effectively to all involved parties. Additionally, the Project Manager will manage project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans as necessary. Coaching, mentoring, and motivating project teams will be essential to ensure accountability for assigned work. The role also involves managing project forecasting, purchasing, and expenditures tracking, as well as developing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. Monitoring project progress against functional and business objectives and obtaining project signoff upon completion through customer satisfaction and acceptance testing are also critical responsibilities.
