About the position

The Project Manager for the State of Maine Background Check Biometrics program will lead the development and implementation of biometrics into the Maine Background Check Program. This role is critical for overseeing all aspects of the project, ensuring successful planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery while collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of biometrics into the Maine Background Check Program.
  • Oversee all aspects of the project from planning to execution and delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Ensure successful project delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage complex development projects from initiation to completion.

Requirements

  • Degree in project management and 4 years of proven experience in development or project management.
  • Strong understanding of project management and/or process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing complex development projects from initiation to completion.
  • Familiarity with healthcare-related software systems and regulatory requirements (preferred).
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, ScrumMaster, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt) is a plus.
