About the position

The Project Manager for Bridge Demolition at Sessler Wrecking will oversee project management activities within the Bridge Demolition Division. This role involves coordinating project-related information, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and contractual requirements. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on innovative demolition solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating, organizing, tracking, updating and/or expediting the flow of project-related information to Owner(s) and Senior Staff.
  • Attending project pre-bid meetings for new business opportunities.
  • Reviewing project documentation including drawings, specifications, and constructability.
  • Reviewing contract requirements and generating vendor and subcontractor agreements.
  • Developing project submittals such as Work Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Demolition Plan, etc.
  • Scheduling and coordinating with Site Supervisors.
  • Participating in weekly Client/Subcontractor meetings.
  • Reviewing vendor and subcontractor invoices.
  • Supporting the Corporate Health & Safety Director to ensure compliance with company and client requirements.
  • Assisting with project closeout deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
  • 5-10 years of previous experience in construction estimating and project management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially MS Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Adobe and drawing editing software such as Bluebeam or AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with scheduling and estimating software like MS Project or B2W Estimate.
  • A working background with construction, demolition, transportation, and/or engineering firms.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and function independently or as part of a team.
  • Commitment to integrity, quality, and safety.
