About the position
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering and project management, with expertise in the design and analysis of bridge structures. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of bridge projects from conception through completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Connecticut-focused transportation projects in areas such as Highway, Bridge, or Traffic Engineering.
- Prepare and/or review project documents, including calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Compile and summarize information from team members to assemble comprehensive reports.
- Coordinate and maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring project objectives and client needs are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's Degree is preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, specifically in highway, bridge, or traffic projects.
- Connecticut P.E. license is required.
- Previous experience with Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) projects is essential.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams of engineers and designers.
