About the position

The Project Manager (Build-to-Rent) at Catamount Constructors is responsible for overseeing the financial success of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on budget and within scope. This role involves collaboration with architects, engineers, and owners, as well as maintaining strong communication with subcontractors and project stakeholders. The Project Manager will document project updates, manage purchasing plans, and facilitate meetings to support the overall project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the contract from the project onset
  • Stay current during the construction process by accurately documenting project updates and maintaining logs
  • Establish the appropriate purchasing plan and make timely decisions during the buyout process
  • Support the Superintendent in maintaining the project schedule
  • Create and maintain relationships with the project owner, addressing their needs with urgency
  • Facilitate meetings with Owners, Architects, and Contractors, generating agendas and minutes
  • Submit owner pay applications correctly and timely
  • Maintain open communication with subcontractors
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders
  • Ensure conformity with contract documents and address issues of underperformance
  • Interact and support everyone involved in the project as a project team leader

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience with a General Contractor preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Construction Sciences or equivalent
  • Refined organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication skills including listening, presenting, interpersonal, and written
  • Advanced mathematic and reasoning ability, and strong negotiating skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project) and ability to learn Procore
