About the position

The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is seeking a Project Manager/Business Analyst (PM/BA) to join its Information Technology team. This role focuses on managing complex projects related to Financial Aid, Student, and Advancement areas within higher education. The PM/BA will oversee large-scale product implementations, enhancements, and the development of new solutions, ensuring effective collaboration with various stakeholders and adherence to project management guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Drive collaboration with relevant IT departments and business users.
  • Develop business cases and comprehensive project requests in collaboration with business users.
  • Gather project requirements from various business users and technical staff members.
  • Create detailed project task specifications and manage task dependencies.
  • Manage resource allocation and project plans, conducting project meetings and reporting statuses.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Ellucian Banner product/service line and related vendor products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Two years of experience managing projects.
  • Hands-on experience in Student Affairs in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with Ellucian CRM Recruit or similar admissions CRM and Ellucian Banner Student.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a multi-college system or large complex higher education organization.
  • Knowledge of applications development life-cycle methodology.
  • Ability to manage and lead large, diverse groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
