About the position

The Project Manager for Business Operations in the Global Product & Solutions Development Group at Allied World Insurance Company is responsible for leading project management initiatives, evaluating business processes, and implementing new technology solutions. This role requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, ensuring successful product delivery and adherence to timelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage new program/product implementation across multi-functional disciplines and external partners.
• Evaluate current business processes, anticipating requirements and uncovering areas for improvement.
• Work with business leads & CUO team to recommend and finalize standardized operating procedures.
• Address Underwriting requirement issues, external party questions, or technological risks to mitigate impact to timeline.
• Responsible for stakeholder accountability and project timeline, documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
• Report on project metrics including progress, resource utilization, risks and issues.
• Facilitate meetings and handle appointment-scheduling, interfacing with all levels of internal resources.
• Coordinate with IT on IT-specific milestones as it relates to product implementation and maintenance.
• Coordinate product development activities internally with the business as well as external partners.
• Generate, update, maintain and distribute documents to business stakeholders.
• Participate as needed to support Enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and provide sign off.
